This year the team here at Angela’s Boutique are happy to be hosting the 3rd annual Ladner Village Scarecrow Contest! It’s a simple idea hatched by myself and Adina at Billie’s Barbershop in 2016. We encouraged all the businesses in the neighbourhood to create a scarecrow to display near their entrance.  We had a great response right from the beginning and this year we have 40+ awesome “contestants”. It’s been a great way for business owners and their staff to connect with their neighbours and come together to put on a fun event for customers and the general public. We’d like to thank everyone for their participation, either by displaying a scarecrow or two, filling out a ballot, using the hashtag #ladnerscares2018, putting up a poster, or just spreading the word! We’re sure that this new tradition will carry on for years to come, adding to our great Halloween memories.
