Our 35th Anniversary!

Our 35th Anniversary!

Stay tuned for our celebration event!

After 10 years in the fishing industry I decided to enter the world of fashion and opened "Angela's Attic" on January 10th, 1985, on the second floor of our present location. Originally a consignment, vintage clothing and Harley Davidson leathers shop, we evolved into a regular retail store and by 1986 had moved to street level and also briefly had a second shop in Tsawwassen. Back in the eighties we had a lot of fun putting on fashion shows at the local night clubs. We sold a lot of lingerie and bikinis, dresses with shoulder pads, stirrup pants, neon aerobic wear and chunky jewelry back then. There were over forty brands on the go, and at times reopened the second floor for sale items because we had so much stock in our small shop.

Fast forward to now and we've traded in the lingerie for menswear. Angela's Boutique has always maintained a beach vibe, and swimwear and shorts are available year round. We also have a lot of travel items, including Herschel bags and wallets, Corkcicle tumblers and canteens, Sun Bum sunscreen products and Dot Dash sunnies. Our shop is a popular destination for anyone preparing for a tropical vacation. Of course summertime is always super busy, especially during events such as the Ladner Village Market, Quilt Walk & Car Show, and Tour de Delta.

I have always enjoyed meeting my neighbours and getting involved in community happenings. In 2016 a neighbour, Adina, and I created the Ladner Village Scarecrow Contest, an example of a fun event to connect local businesses and put smiles on the faces of our customers. This year will be the fifth annual, and it's sure to be another success.

I'd like to thank all my wonderful customers and staff over the years for all the love and support. We will keep you posted here on plans for our 35th Anniversary Celebration!
